Hi Sue and everyone In addition to the excellent advice already posted, if all else fails and there is a place nearby that does colour photocopying - get a colour photocopy done of your lace, and scan the copy for the image you want to post on the web. The colour scanners have good lenses and often the colour copies look just like the real thing. Shadows don't seem to be much of a problem if there is an appropriate background - navy or light blue is usually good.
Lightly stitch your lace to a background fabric, and afix that to paper or light card in some unobtrusive way so that the clerk can place it readily onto the copier bed. Your second generation image can then be scanned at a low resolution for posting to the web. Plus you have a paper record of your lace, if you are going to give it away :) -- Bev in Sooke BC (on Vancouver Island, west coast of Canada) - To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help, write to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
