I know the purpose of this thread was more or less about uses for beeswax, but I wanted to point out that some people put a piece of wax paper (common in the US, anyway, for wrapping sandwiches, etc., to keep them fresh) between the pattern and the pricking card. Then every pinhole lightly waxes the needle as it goes through. No need to stop and stab a beeswax lump. Robin P.
