The Max Berk museum is 2-3 km from the centre of Heidelberg, a short bus ride along the river out of town. The museum is in two buildings, one housing a permanent collection and one for changing exhibitions. I have been twice to see the Lace Biennale which is a temporary exhibition. The permanent collection was interesting becuase I'm interested in textiles generally, but had little lace that I remember; the lace was on clothing I think. The special exhibitions are 24 February to 13 July 2008 Quilt Art 20 18 June to 7 September 2008 Magical Machines (not textiles) -- Money can't buy everything. That's what credit cards are for.
