Thank you Margot & Clay I found both of those very interesting.  Lots of
useful and interesting information for me. I wondered if you meant the ones with pretty designs on the top but thought they were not fine enough:-)

Insect pins are very, very thin, with tiny heads.  They're useful
when you're making a very fine lace that requires lots of pins.  But
they bend very easily.
