Season's Greetings,

I would like to extend my thanks to all the lacemakers that contribute and
read the list. It is encouraging to talk with other people who love lace so
first of all, let me say I appreciate the list.

Secondly, I appreciate the lace exchange for Christmas cards and enjoy the
website with the cards posted and also the wonderful patterns the lacemakers
share. One of these days, I hope to join in, and also to share patterns.

And finally, I want to add that I have given only tatted pieces for
Christmas presents this year. Most of my exchanges have been tatted
Christmas Snowflakes, so throughout the month of December I have finished
about 15 snowflakes, one of which is Celtic, which I had not previously
tried before.

As for my projects at the moment: In Bobbin lace, I am doing the two birds
#75. It is rather fun that I purchased the book back in 2002 and I am
finally getting to work the pattern that drew me to Yusai Fukuyama's book
call "100 New Bobbin Lace Patterns." I am just getting a good start on the
first bird. My Honiton pillow has a trial piece to learn raised Honiton.
And my travel pillow has a straight lace on it, which I use for demos, and
such.

I hope everyone enjoys the holiday season and that 2009 brings you many
hours to work lace, enjoy life and visit with your friends.

HUGS TO ALL
Susie
