Hate to post again, but reading in reverse.
Why can't you order more (source given) or choose another color of handpaint
or solid for your workers, as that is where most of the length worry comes in.
 It will make for a lovely design.
Matching the predominate color (green) will make the accent colors pop, and
choose the accent color (such as blue) will make the accents recede so you
have a story of the green and whatever your worker color is.  A neutral or new
shade will make all handpaint colors obvious and the third color adds more
dimension (such as a lt. gold).
(You could also do something contemporary with tufts, so when you end and
join, tie it up with other threads and make it a part of the design piece.
 Random for some, but this is how mistakes end up being stellar designs.)
