I think I'd avoid glue at all costs though.......I'd be scared of dripping it exactly where it shouldn't be!!!
I used to use glue such as Fray Stop (or Fray Check) much more often than I do now.As warned by others nearly 20 years ago, I've learned that it does in fact yellow with age.
