Tanne and Cotona have always been the same, just wound onto different size spools.
I thought that all of the size 50 had been discontinued, but if they are still producing it in the smaller Cotona tells thatâs great. The size 30 comes as Tanne, Cotona and is also used for the Madeira stranded embroidery. That info came from Andrew (????), one of the top guys from Madeira, during a talk at a Lace Guild convention many years ago.
