Good morning, all. The convention in Coralville was wonderful. I had a great time.
My morning class was Hinojosa with Sylvie Nguyen. Learned yet another tape lace - seems those are my favorites. My afternoon class was Russian Tape Lace again with Sylvie. She helped me fix a problem on an old project and got me started on a new project. Again, making tape lace makes me happy. Thursday I spent the day with Karen Bovard doing Teneriffe/Sol Lace with the afternoon session learning Paisley. It was quite fun and I hope to get those projects done. The food was great and the concessions for breakfast and lunch worked perfectly. Also got to eat at some good restaurants - Old Chicago, Iowa River Power Restaurant and The Back Pocket. So much fun to travel and try new places. The teacher display room is one of my favorite events. Iâm alway so in awe with what I see. Some are my favorites and even though I donât care to make all the laces, I certainly appreciate the work. It goes without saying that I spent some time and money in the vendor room. So much to choose from. Fortunately there were three of us who traveled together by car so we had room for all of our purchases. I especially loved The Hat Lady. So interesting and so much fun! Thanks to all who worked so hard to put this on. And thanks to all the guilds who donated goodies. Looking forward to next yearâs convention in Indianapolis.
