Then, your tombolo is the same as the bolsters previously mentioned ;)

By wheel-shaped, I meant that the cylinder was quite a lot narrower in width
- like a car tire/tyre. 'tombolo' means wheel or round if I recall correctly
which made me think of it - there is a lace pillow that looks a lot like a
wheel on a tall stand - now if I could only dredge up where that particular
lace is made... the bobbins are slender with great round ends.
