I don't see why you consider comparing with XML itself not to be at
least partially appropriate.
YAML doesn't have the scope of LGRAM and doesn't have any
separately-defined higher-level layers like the three other things you
mention that go on top of XML.
I don't know how to compare LGRAM with anything else...
