Hi Pavel,

Could you check if the NWAM  is enabled or not?
# svcs -a |grep nwam
If enabled, pls disable it, then reboot the system and have a try:
# svcadm disable nwam

If rge0 still doesn't work:
1. When you plug/unplug the cable, can you see rge0 link up/down message
in /var/adm/messages? Actually, it would be helpful if you send me your
/var/adm/messages file.

2. rge0 packet statistics examination
In one terminal, pls do 'ping' the network. In another terminal, pls do
# kstat rge:0 1 |grep bytes

to see if the 'rbytes' or 'obytes' get increment, so that we can know if
the rge h/w tx/tx is working.
