I can tell that hitting enter > has an effect because the hard drive light starts flashing as soon as i hit > it.
I have a Satellite, and sometimes when the display goes into power-save mode it doesn't come back either. To correct, I close the lid for a moment and then open it, and it starts working again. Might be worth a shot. -- Eric Enright
