I am not sure where the first failure comes, is it in connect step or in 
DHCP step?
Basically, "dladm show-wifi" will give you current wifi status(connected 
or not). IP address can only be retrived when it is under "connected".
Once connect/disconnect status changed, bcmndis reports "link up"/"link 
down" message into  /var/adm/messages.  For future connection debug, 
please try the simple senario configuring AP to non-wep and Open System 
authmode. For the DHCP IP retrive debug, please open another terminal, 
use "snoop -d bcmndis0" on solaris to check DHCP request/response, 
tcpdump under suse10 side can show this process as well.
