Quaker, how do I connect to WPA with nwam? I did, before you suggested to do so, but I seem to get WEP only. I might agree with you, that the lack of link can look like having other reasons than the driver. I agree that it gets an IP, of the proper range. However, the 'stuck' of ifconfig, continuous beeping, no shutdown, stuck at ps -eaf on the command-line looks pretty much like a defect of either snv_105, or one inflicted by a bad driver.
