I'm actually not sure this did fix it after all.  After rebooting my
computer wificonfig didn't seem to work.  The only way I was finally
able to connect was to set tings back this way:

disabled       18:11:17 svc:/network/physical:default
online         18:11:27 svc:/network/physical:nwam

So I'm still not really sure what's happening.  I'll continue
experimenting and let you know how I get along.
