You are correct. It appears that the way to go is more RAM. Just a while go I've tested this by doubling the RAM to 2Gig on my test install in VirtualBox (Vista 32 bit Dell Vostro 1400 host. This has made things much better.
I'm planning to add another 2Gigs to the Toshiba tomorrow to make it 3Gig. Hopefully this will address the only major issue I have with 2008.11 (so far). All and all I'm quite happy with the ground the development team has made over such a short period. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
