Mike, The other posters are correct. The LabVIEW evaluation CDs have a fixed expiration date, and the LabVIEW 6i evaluation period has ended.
The best solution is to try and use our new evaluation version of LabVIEW 7.0, which you can get from http://www.ni.com/labview However this has some pros and cons. The pro is that if you decide to purchase LabVIEW you will get version 7.0 and you would already be familiar with it. The con is that the book was not written for 7.0, so some of the pictures etc may be off. In general there should be nothing in the book that you could not do with 7.0, in fact you can do much more, including the introduction of Assistants and Express VIs, that allow you to easily configure VIs.
