Very true, but only for this case. Newsgroups/mailing lists are /not/ your corporate communications, where it is obvious that the particular employee is 'on top of the issue' at all times and only needs 'new stuff on top of the old one and the whole tail'. Everybody here is a private person whether you are a CEO, or a code monkey, there is different issues everybody deals with in their own time, and having to scroll down to remind of the context and having all the tail included is... well... Time consuming, and time usually is money too. (and in case of visually impaired people using a screen reader - some kind of signature or geek code may make life easier for them maybe?
