I was starting off with Firebird for Lazarus. But now I need to get
MySql access from Lazarus to convert my legacy windows msaccess apps .
Which package is best? Sqlite or zeos components? Or just go for
'direct' access w/o compos?

ATM ZEOS doesn't work very well with Lazarus. This is more a ZEOS issue,
then an fpc-issue. (except for fpc-bug 4510)
And although the problems are easily fixable, they seems to be to hard
for the ZEOS team.
