I'm back home, and looking to rsync my site to SF, but I have a problem with
the "downloadable files". While I agree these should go in the FTP area, my
current site is not really setup to support this. I could rather quickly
make links in the FTP area to files in the web area, or I can restructure
things for the new SF structure (which will have to happen anyway,
longterm). I also have the issue of my several mirror sites to deal
with...they will need to be able to correctly sync with the new site
structure (rsync will help a lot in providing options for this).
So, what's the preference? A quick upload that doesn't fit the SF structure
followed by a re-orginazation of my content, or re-org then upload?
NOTE: I *think* I could get my site cleaned up in a week or so, but it
could take as long as a month or more. I'm going to be extremely busy until
late Feb. as the company I work for is moving to a new building, giving me
lots of things to deal with (since I'm essentially the de-facto network
guru, even though I don't actually work on-site most of the time) and
meaning I'll be out of town and down in Texas a LOT.
