Okay. I guess I should have taken a closer look at the existing update code. Sorry.
One final note on the module problem. I can compile the modules just fine (make modules), but when I do a make modules_install it fails with the undefined symbols I mentioned earlier. I tracked down the source files that declare the functions and they are in the source tree. Maybe the makefile or dependencies are screwed up. Anyway, I'm sure we will iron this out in your new build environment. Getting a clean build environment is priority one for me. I stand ready to help. Please let me know when your ready.
