Hi,

For the moment, I still use bering glibc based. but I want to upgrade to
bering-uclibc. ( without glibc compat )
as soon as a can gather all binaries needed. ( I tried once and couldn't
manage to code a decent .mk .... ( upnp, squid)

I think that the concept ( .LRP, ramdisk,...) cd boot + config files, is
great even for something than a "leaf",
eg: one purpose server ( dns, web, mail server with wirus scanner, proxy
cache, vpn server...).
most of those uses need some kind of permanent storage and some others need
some swap.

I understand your concerns about space, ...

I would be satisfied to have a dedicated .lrp with those small progs ( they
might be added to the hdsupp package, next to the fsck.* progs)

Thanks for you fast answer,
kind regards,
Etienne
