I'd love to help you with this Dachstein doc, since I'm right now
working on migrating from a two floppy EigerStein setup to a
CDROM/floppy Dachstein setup. It's going well, but I'm having to
remember what I did to setup stuff in the first place, and it's tough
going at points.

A section on how to migrate from EigerStein would be good, esp in
terms of what info to collect and how to collect it to make the
migration easier.

The new backup scheme is nice, but needs some work. I'd love to see
an option for just backing up *all* packages which are changed.

Charles, thanks a bunch for your work in Eiger and Dachstein, both are
great packages. I really like how fast DachStein boots off CDROM,
it's much more amenable to quick and dirty reboots!

Are you looking for comments/hints on the various docs you include
with DachStein? I'm thinking that adding the files:

   INSTALL.txt

to walk a user through initial setup and configuration, as well as a

   MODULES.txt

to give hints and tips on how to make groups of modules work, and
what's needed for various modules. I'd also include an example

   lrpkg.cfg

file so that people can just copy it to floppy and edit it from
there.

Thanks,
John
