This link contains good timezone information, although much of it no
longer applies to Dachstein -- files mentioned early in the doc are
already uptodate . . .

Make sure that /etc/default/rcS is setup correctly.

Preferably, you need the correct /etc/localtime -- which is your correct
timezone?  Do you have access to a Linux system?

In lieu of that, supposedly, you can set /etc/tzvalue -- I've never used
it ;>
