Doug, Are you loading the sshd package? This isn't stock on the DF floppy. Their are server, client, and key packages for DF. You said floppy in the first post, now the cd version .... I'm getting confused, exact details of what you _are_ using and what you have done will help. When you back-up the key, you either have to back up root.lrp or add /root to local.lrp... otherwise it's lost forever (or every reboot). What version of ssh you use will depend on how you set sshd up, I believe the default config will use either You don't need to copy a key over unless you get tired of logging in.
