Thanks, Greg, for the comments, but I still wonder how the University's computer managed to get a message to my computer through my Dachstein firewall. (My original ssh session worked fine. It was only 18 hours later that I got the "Connection reset by peer" message.) If the University can get to my computer, who else can? And how do I stop it?
