Glad we could help. In reading over your earlier response to my questions, this now sort of makes sense. Here's my understanding ofwhat you did. 1. You connected Gnatbox and it did not work. Why? Who knows; we're not a Gnatbox support list, and I'd never even heard of it until I looked at its Web site last night. Any sufficiently closed-source technology is indistinguishable from magic (and about as reliable). Anyway, it failed so thoroughly that the ISP didn't get the MAC address of its NIC. 2. You connected Win98 and it did work. Not surprising; ISPs *try* very very hard to make their services work with Windows, since they'd have no customers otherwise. Since this worked, the ISP got this MAC address. 3. You connected LEAF using the Gnatbox machine. Since it had the wrong MAC address, it did not work. 4. [Later]. You moved the NIC from the Windows host to the Gnatbox host and ran LEAF on it. It worked, since it now had the right MAC address to satisfy the ISP. All of this illustrates the need to be very very picky in reporting what you did.
