3 - Packages configuration 1 - initrd 2 - modules to load before any other package Add the modules in the correct order, without the .o extension. Then you should exit lrcfg, copy all the needed modules to /boot/lib/modules Get back to lrcfg and backup initrd. This information is valid for Bering-rc3. I'm not sure about older versions, but the procedure should be the same. -----Original Message----- From: Jeff Newmiller [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, August 13, 2002 11:14 PM To: Craig Cc: LEAF Subject: Re: [leaf-user] Where to declare modules for creating a bootable Bering CD? It would be initrd configuration. This is not available on my Bering menu system. I exit from lrcfg, and "cd /boot/etc" and "ls" to see "README modules". "less README" shows me the brief instructions for modifying boot-time module initialization. "edit modules" lets me record the names of modules that I want loaded (without the ".o" extension) and any necessary "insmod" arguments to go along with those kernel modules. CtrlS/CtrlQ gets me out, and "cd /boot/lib/modules" brings me to the directory where I need to put the actual modules to be loaded. With everything in place, I re-enter lrcfg, and backup initrd.lrp. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jeff Newmiller The ..... ..... Go Live...
