pppd is a peer-to-peer application.  Normally, only the configuration of
pppd varies between client and server.  ppp.lrp should be correct.

The main things to check when the "no support" messages comes up are:
kernel modules loaded; kernel+modules+pppd application have compatible
version numbers.
