Ok, I was attempting to remember...... I used to have WinZip, SuperZip, or some other zip program from around 1996 that would rw tar files, I just figured that it was built in WinZip with its popularity. As pointed out by others, WinZip doesn't support tar but other Zip programs do; this still sounds like the easiest workaround short of Cygwin. I guess I should have kept my mouth shut, I haven't had a Win Desktop for over 2 years now and my wife doesn't care much for me using her box .....<rant> stupid, stupid machine </rant>. The SuSE "liveval" CD's have kept me pacified when there isn't another option. ;-)~~~~ Thx for the corrections/alternate applications everyone! -- ~Lynn Avants aka Guitarlynn guitarlynn at users.sourceforge.net http://leaf.sourceforge.net If linux isn't the answer, you've probably got the wrong question! ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by: OSDN - Tired of that same old cell phone?
