Just a quick update,

I've tried changing the baud rate to 9600 but it didn't fix the problem. Is
there anyone out there using the serial who is having similar problems
whilst editing files? Basically everything works fine till you edit files
with e3(eg more works great and I can view everything a move from line to
line fine..). All movements in e3 (up,down, or sideways) causes a lag or
refresh and if you press the down key, it will take very long to move to the
location (abt 2 seconds per line)

Any ideas?

Thanks guys,

Kind regards,
David

Ps: I did try putting other editors (zile, nano, even vim) but had problems
loading them. But I've got a funny feeling it might be something someone
has come across before. Anyone?

I understand that you only have that pb when using the editor (by the way
e3,
e3vi and ae are all linked to the same program ...)
I am forwarding your mail to the leaf-user list for assistance on this mater
since I never user serial connection myself

Jacques
