I won't argue with that....LEAF can be rather convenient to install and 
configure. I'm just saying that noone to my knowledge has done any
work to actually make a server distro from LEAF. There will likely be
many core changes you will need to make in order to have a full-server
from it. Un-embedding the system would probably be the first required
move, but I'll suspect that you'll either have to do this yourself or find
someone with the time and interest to do it for/with you. Oxygen would
probably be a good starting point for something along these lines,
but I doubt that David has much interest into changing any core 
systems while he is working on his Ports system.

Absolutely. All you can do is run a box with _much_ more RAM or un-embed
the system.
