'df'

"df" checks filesystems (including RAMdisk, which is probably what Lynn has in mind as the location of your problem).


"free" checks RAM. Use the information from the second line. Or, if "free" is not on Bering (unlikely, but I forget right now), look at /proc/meminfo .
