Are tun and tap devices associated with any one interface?Not that I know of - for all I know, they _are_ interfaces themselves.
I'd say, the the easiest solution to set up is to use the "route" keyword in the openvpn config file. This will automatically generate the proper entry in the routing table (pointing to the other end of the tunnel) when the tunnel is established, and also remove the route again, when the tunnel goes down.I forgot to ask: Is a "route add" command the best/only way to handle this situation?
