I have encountered a small Shorewall issue after upgrading from
Bering-uClibc_5.1.3-beta1 to 5.1.3-rc1. I'm using my Bering Soekris
box as a firewall/router that gets it's IP from Comcast via DHCP. I am
running the Bering-uClibc_5.1.3-rc1_x86_64_syslinux_vga.tar.gz version
modified to use the serial port.

During boot I get this error:

Starting "Shorewall firewall": ERROR: Can't determine the IP address of eth0
Terminated

Then I run WebConf from a machine on my network, see that Shorewall is
not running, and start it manually. Shorewall starts with no problems,
and then everything appears to be very good.

Shorewall gets it's IP from shorewall/params:

ETH0_IP=`find_first_interface_address eth0`

Looks like some change between beta1 and rc1 is causing a problem. If
anyone has an idea where to look, let me know. Meanwhile I can
systematically look at what is different.

Thanks,

Tim
