you are right of course Dave it is a can of worms basically because it comes
down to 1 mans word against another. But my understanding is that The FA
have waited to investigate Terry until the court case concludes cos the cops
got in first as a complaint was made by a member of the public who allegedly
saw and lip-read the situation. in Suarez's case only him and evra we aware
of the situation and no one has reported it to the police.

I'd have to say that I don't think calling someone a cunt is anywhere as bad
as prefacing it with someone's colour, especially in the week that the
Steven Lawrence trial is occurring - its much more loaded and the context is
racist. by the way if Ferdinand had called Terry a white cunt he also would
have been liable to a charge.

Suarez's excuse that its common place to call people in Uruguay names that
are considered offensive here is irrelevant, the speed limit is probably
different there, doesn’t mean he can ignore ours.

re the England issue, I assume Terry will be not be allowed to play for
England as he is now charged.

As for Marks comment about plod having better crimes to fight. yes of
course they do and they will be doing that as well. see my comment about
Steven Lawrence
