Mike, I know how you feel.....in 1995, my mother went to a hospital in
Vancouver for an angiogram.....she had a fatal heart attack during the
test. It's taken a long time to get over it.....but Mom will never be
forgotten. While I'm not a Jew, I do have a deep feeling to our Old
Testament. And, I thank you for adding so much to our beloved Leeds
United site. Your insight does add much to our lives beyond
football....please keep at it!
My forte has always been sports broadcasting in Canada.....I managed to
lose my Yorkshire accent in order to give Canadians a local perspective
to the game, especially when the Vancouver Whitecaps were in the North
American Soccer League in the 70-80's. While Major League Soccer
appears to be working well over here, I can still see there is much to
be learned.....putting a firecracker up a certain rear end at times
would help. I'm retired now and enjoying playing golf and following
"our" game worldwide.....more importantly, LU!

Having Mum around for so long has made her an immutable feature. No
matter how far we got in all senses of the word we got we were still
her boys. Not getting her card with the five pound cheque just took
the color out of it all.
Yesterday evening I told you we set up the joint Muslim- Jew girls
football team. What I didn't say is that its in the name of my Mother.
My Mum's Hebrew name was Zippora. The wife of Moses. Zippora's father
was Jethro, Moses's Councillor in his darkest hours [ running a bunch
of raving lunatics that make up the Jewish people he had quite a few].
The portion of the Bible relating to us getting the ten commandments
is in Jethro's name. Jethro & Zippora were Middanites -- not Jews at all.
So that made it very auspicious -- hopefully.

I reformed the team of Muslim & Jewish girls.

I do know politics & I shafted the main objections

fight back.
I play 'politics' on the two out of three principle,

three gains to give up on one and make out your
magnanimous. .
Tonight I made three demands & provisionally got them
all. I can safely
'give up on ' any one from two.
I must confess I love the game. And it made my day.
The first reports about our Sheikh are disconcerting,
