Spot on Dave. Can't argue with any of that! Listening to radio Leeds on the way home (had plenty of time - in their wisdom someone had decided to shut the M621/M1 Southbound carriageway for non-existent repairs!) Monk had said that the Wood and Sacko substitutions were "forced" on him. Really? he said they were both worn out. Well judging by Sacko's look of disappointment to his number being held up he didn't think he was tired. I can probably see it with Wood as he had put himself all over the place being the lone striker - like you said - his performance was spot on. Those substitutions, plus the addition of a poor Mowatt and a reluctance to try anything, really cost us the game.
Admittedly I prefer Monk to Evans, but at least Evans would admit it if he got things wrong. Not Monk - he certainly wouldn't admit he got the substitutions wrong! And surely Luke Murphy, (sorry Rich) would be a better option than Grimes? (or Even Dougar... Dave!) Another disappointing night at Elland Road, and it all started so well! Don't think I'll be bothering with the Norwich cup game next week now - had we won last night, I probably would have gone.
