The only reason if he took it out would be to help him cut his losses after
actually putting money in if he has bottled it. Lets face it if he hadnt
put money in we would be watching Unibond league football now groundsharing
at Farsley celtic and shopping at the new Elland road Asda so I am prepared
to wait and judge later!
He is driven by more than money! He is getting on in years and he was
ditched by the FA and Chelsea and I think itrs his ego that's driving him on
now! No one could have foreseen the mess we would be in now
He has said before that he wont discuss money because it will inflate the
prices because of ho we are so pleading poverty is a strategy perhaps.
Also he wouldn't have removed his little pet Wise from sweet little number
at Swindon if he new he was on the way out.
One of the problems is depth and too many old fat journeymen, Wise has had
a clear out and in the first couple of days technically signed 5 players.
its still only 9th january, we may well have £1.75m plus a bit of chelsea
money for the kids but there has to be someone there to spend it on and that
probably not that easy and we need to pick up a couple of wins before 31st
jan to make us more attractive. Its not as if we are sat there just selling
players before we go down
We are effectivly 4 points from safety, we are not down yet and if you look
at palace's achievements the other year technically not out of the play off
picture however unlikely, what is it 19 points in a crap league like this.
All it will take is a couple of jammy wins 1-0s hanging on for 89 mins and
results around us to go well and this disaster is averted and we are back in
business.
While I am deeply pesimistic and I hope the above is true we are certainly
not down and out yet nor has anyone asset stripped us

Well i guess we'll probably never know for sure, but i struggle to view
Bates as a philanthropist, shelling out money on Leeds with no guaranteed
return.
If Bates is taking money out - i'm not sure it matters if it's direct or
not.

Its interesting you say that, seeing as noone actually
knows who owns the Virgin Island company, but anyhow, wed be paying the
rent to Adler, so for us lot it makes no difference where the money goes.
Its not like Bates sold the ground to begin with is it!?
The one main difference with Bates is that he isnt taking money direct
from LUFC, unlike everyone else previously involved with owning and running
the club an who have ALSO ripped us off.

Maybe he doesn't need the money direct from the company as he's
getting a million a year rent from a Property he owns in the North of
England through his Virgin Islands Company.

1. He doesnt get paid by the company, so any benefit he gets will be
by
investing the cash into the infrastructure and getting the benefit when he
sells.
2. Unless we want to spiral into oblivion then we need to have some money
for next season if we go down, so not splashing it all now wouldnt
necessarily be a bad thing
3. My guess is that Wise will get the money to spend, but they arent going
to advertise that fact (and drive up prices), and also it might be
difficult
to actually spend it because who would want to come to us right now!
