I'm with Nick on this one, I was surprised at how well we played on the whole (for a Championship team). I do see that the soccernet report said this was the best Leeds have played all season so maybe I was lucky to get to see my only game on telly this season and for this to be it. The team worked their bollox off from start to finish, I was convinced Preston we're going to nick it cos we were looking awfully tired by the end.
A few comments Douglas may not be good but he does try and he always showed for the ball. Healy - this must be the Healy who plays for N.Ireland cos last night he seemed well up for it, chasing everything down. Mind you he did keep trying to score 40 yard screamers all night long when a pass would have been a better option. Cresswell - amazing work rate Blake - our most creative player but he is a bit slow isn't he Ricketts - thank god he's so crap, glaring miss near the end, and then he trots off smiling! Basically we let in a stupid goal after 4 mins, awful defending by the defender Michithingy and I thought we were going to get mullered by the pace of Nugent. But we rolled up our sleeves and got stuck in. I managed to wake up both the kids in the 90th minute as they were sleeping in my parents guest room next door to the telly room, so I go an earful from the wife whilst still celebrating!
