its me and the Bates/Wisey thing again. Why try to belittle Healy compared
with Wise? I am not a fan of Healy but I don't think he has done anything
that others havent done.

There was never any chance of Healy staying at Leeds so why interpret what
Bates has said as being that he could? Its just Bates trying to imply its
his decision for Healy to leave when in reality it wasnt and never will be.

I have to say that I was very amused to hear about Wise apparently offering
to take a drop in salary, it certainly makes good PR doesnt it but its not
clear whether Bates accepted his offer?

You could argue of course that in an industry that is so focused on results
and performances that Wise should take a drop in salary because of the
miserable year he had last year. He may have offered to lower his wages
because he was worried about getting the sack - I personally would have
accepted his alleged offer and dropped his wage to zero.
