Whatever it may look and smell like I can assure you that it is not a turd. Appearances are often deceptive. Do you mind if I don't polish it much more because it is becoming a little thin in places and if we take it much further then some people may be able to see right through it (which is never desireable in this sort of thing). Like you, I also find that folks have an amazing ability to simply ignore the stench if you put something right in front of their faces. I'm sure I know where your mean by "The country". I always find it a very pleasant place and which frequently brings its own rewards. > I really need to make sure that the bridge is long enough as it has to go > from here to there, could you get a tape measure and make sure that both > ends are the same distance from the middle, the last thing I want is a > bridge too far. I assure you that the "bridge" has been well tested and has already proven itself by getting us from there to here. It is a re-work of a previously well tested design which has been examined in previously published studies. I will decline to take a tape measure to it myself as I rely on my "engineers" for that sort of thing and I would not wish to take on personal responsibility for their expertise in these matters. In the past I have found it advantageous to leave such responsibility squarely on the shoulders of the designers and engineers of the bridge. There is of course a place equal in "distance" from either end but that place is not necessarily fairly and squarely in the middle you understand. You should consider that there can sometimes be advantages in arranging the weighting so that things lean to one particular side and of course it is adjustable depending upon the particular gap which needs to be crossed. You can always add another touch of bias and provide further swing as you go along and before your journeys end, depending upon how things are working out. However stretched this has been in the past it has never yet proved to be a bridge too far. > By usual terms I assume that you mean 2 packets of wine gums and a lend of > Razzle. Forgive me if there is a misunderstanding but we are not in the "commodities" business. We will require full liquidity but this may be discounted depending upon how clean it has been kept. Can we assume that proof of such funding will not be an issue for you. _______________________________________________ the Leeds List is an unmoderated mailing list and the list administrators accept no liability for the personal views and opinions of contributors.
