I am, er, have a friend (who shall remain nameless, not least because I'm
not sure of his name myself) who is interested in buying the bridge.  He
lives overseas, so I act as his representative in the UK.  It might seem
odd to you that I do not know his name, but I assure you that this is
perfectly common in many friendships.  This is not an arrangement we have
come to just to stop some of my other friends making an offer to buy the
bridge.  If my firnd buys the bridge he is a very generous soul and would
like for you to still be able to use the bridge for a small fee. 
Obviously, even though he owns the bridge, you would need to pay any
monies necessary for maintaining its upkeep.  I'm sure you'll be able to
spot a good deal when you see one and that you realise this is the only
way for the cattle to still be able to cross the bridge at all.
