Sort of agree Pete, but there is a real feeling around that Leeds
United, not just Bates have 'cheated' their way into Administration (no
10 point deduction that matters), and out of it again (wiped off all the
debts). As we know football fans have long and sometimes irrational
memories. So do Taxmen, and I expect any ordinary blokes who have
suffered Financial hardship because of this will remember it for a while
too. So I don't think bates leaving will wipe the slate clean, as far
as those people are concerned.

Dear King

Surely this short term gain is in the best interests of the club - a
point I think you may be making below. On a longer term . futuristic
view, surely we cant expect Uncle ken to hang around for years and years

Id suggest, with absolutely no evidence to back it up, that bates is
here for a short time only - We are better financially than we were
(surely this is undisputable??!!). and he will be looking to maximise
his reurn when its viable for him to do so

yes folks have been hurt and some will be looking to put one up/over
him, but Id be very surprised if he was here this time next year

this is the best financial deal in the short-term for the club, and in
terms of getting things sorted for the coming season; the club may have
made enemies that will all be looking to get even in the future.
