Who do you think has "forced" KPMG "down a particular path" Rick?
Again I would be surprised if KPMG (or their "enforcers") had not had any dialogue with the FL regarding the exceptional circumstances clause. Once the CVA was challenged and Bates refused to fund things in Admin then KPMG had 2 options I believe. (1) Fund things themselves until the legal challenge was setteled or (2) sell the club without a CVA knowing full well the FL had never accepted a sale without a CVA. With the season ticket money and the imminent sales of Healey, Nicholls and Blake - surely the could have funded things...unless they'd had dialogue with the FL....or as you say had become exasperated and effectively walked away what a fucking mess! stotty ----- Original Message ----- From: "RickD" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "leedslist" <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, July 19, 2007 7:53 PM Subject: Re: [LU] From the YEP website > ----- Original Message ----- >>I cannot believe there would have been no dialogue between KPMG and the FL >>when KPMG decided the sell the old company to the Bates' new one. >> Surely someone at the FL must have given it the nod otherwise KPMG have >> completely and utterly fucked up. > > That wasn't how I read it at the time and it still isn't how I read it. > KPMGs statement smacks of exasperation and of having been forced along a > particular path by somebody.
