FINALLY I think I get it! Obviously this is all purely conjecture but it certainly makes a load of sense to me at last. Just for the sake of argument, assuming Rick's purely hypothetical scenario was played out, what are the ways for the club to survive? Seems like it would be between a rock and a hard place in this scenarion. The club starts the season in administration? Players could then be free agents? Players bugger off and we're represented by the under 11's or do we then by a whole bunch of dross that nobody else wanted (ie we get Ricketts and Brolin back)
Would there be a possible face saving concession that Bates could make (assuming this scenario is correct) that would ensure Leeds get their FL shares?
