You could argue the same for many off the shelf pc packages - the viruses (and 'keeps working) aspect only comes into the equation if you have a fetish for installing all kinds of crap on your pc, launch email attachments of greetings cards from people you have never heard of etc etc, it is not an inherent problem with the pc/windows platform per se. One mans ease of use is another mans lack of flexibility.
I will stick by my original assertion, you pay over the odds for a MAC for the image/styling. Fine if you don't mind paying over the odds but I would rather get a better bang for buck PC so World In Combat runs nice and smooth J From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 28 September 2007 15:02 To: Mark Humphries; [EMAIL PROTECTED]; 'LUList' Subject: Re: [LU] Absolutely Non LU Don't agree with this. Macs come with many 'options' already as part of the package. Only reason to go to a mac? ease of use, lack of viruses, works out of the box and keeps working..... -------------- Original message -------------- From: "Mark Humphries" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Also bear in mind you are paying well over the odds for the 'image'. > > Only reason I would say go to a mac is if you need to use some particular > software on it that you can't get on a pc. > > You could always get something relatively cheap to see how you get on with > the mac and compatibility with your pc setup.
