I'm assuming the consortium at Luton have a CVA agreed / or about to be - which is the rule we didn't comply with. In which case no 15 point deduction.
I have some sympathy for Blackwell, i think he did his best even if that wasnt good enough for us. However he is still prone to random announcements (similar to the i only had 1 player rubbish he continually spouted with us). Firstly, he's meant to be a Luton-born fan, but in their hour of need, he said he's resigning. I'm sure the circumstances are incredibly difficult, but they also apply to numerous players, staff and creditors and its not really showing much leadership. He moaned about the adminstrators selling players, but he is incredibly niave if he didn't realise they were bound to do that. Secondly, he continued his harddone by act by saying he thought some players might tell him they didn't want to play against Liverpool. I think by resigning himself he's kind of foregone the right to criticise them for that and i can't believe they would of done it anyway. Surely any player would want to play in a big game like that, and they are more likely to get a move by playing well in it. It struck me as just a desperate attempt to garner more sympathy. All the Leeds message boards I go on plus talk in pub etc seems to be revelling in his plight and enjoying it. To me whilst Blackie was lacking in some ways he did a very good job for us overall and deserves to be regarded with affection by Leeds fans. He was a decent man who was out of his depth but who loved Leeds United. Don't forget he also brought Beckford and Rui (plus Carole) to the club who have been our best players this season - even if he did not actually play them !!
