I did not go and only listened to first half on LUTV - was waiting second half
for my phone to ring with all the 6 or 7 goals Eddie Gray convinced me we were
going to get!
But a couple of general observations - with the clean sheet it means we have
only conceded one goal in the last 3 games and that was direct from a free kick
so the Casper,Frazer, Telfer, Lubo, Parker back 4 looks to be getting settled
and secure(ish).

Another goal for Becchio  - 7 in the league now at better than a goal every two
games the accepted ratio of a top goal scorer - on the Championship the
commentator even asked if Maradonna would be looking at him for Argentina !!!!
Yeah right !

It was a well worked goal though with a nice ball by Kilkenny which sent Frazer
down the wing and a great cross which Becchio, unmarked, headed powerfully into
the goal with a great leap.

Another blank for Becks but that will scare off any vultures in Jan transfer
window and by all acounts he did still get into goal scoring positions and I am
sure the goals will flow again very soon.

Bearing in mind the fact that Cheltenham beat us in both games last season and
the other results yesterday it was a good 3 points, even if all the reports
suggest we were poor second half, and a much needed away win which will
hopefully have stopped the rot.

Have read that when we got promoted in 89 \ 90 our away form was not that
great with  8 wins, 7 draws and 8 losses - so far this season we have won 4
lost 3 and drawn one so quite similar. It was our home form that got us up last
time and this season we have won 5 , lost 1 , drawn 1 so it is beginning to be
'fortress Elland Road'

I see Bradley Johnson scored to make it 3 in 2 games for Brighton and that
Kandol scored in the same game (for Millwall).

So up to second with 2 winnaable hone games to come (Hudds and Hartelpool).

Things are looking up again - it will be a bit of an up and down season I
reckon with our views and optimism changing with almost every game.

A nice break from the League on Friday with maybe a full run out for the likes
of Robbo, Snoddy and possibly even Enoch.
